Tate Modern: Henri Matisse

Henri Matisse was a french painter, who lived in the early 20th century doing Fauvism’s paintings. I designed a poster for Tate Modern and a video both about the artist Henri Matisse. Tate is an institution where it shows British art from the 16th century to the present day and of international modern and contemporary art.

Additionally, in this project the poster that I have designed is the exhibition on ‘Henri Matisse Fauvism’s Most Colorful Painter’. Matisse who lived a different wavelength then the rest of the world through his colours in his paintings. The video highlights some of his paintings Henri Matisse created during his lifetime despite the troubling health problem Matisse had as an artist. The black and white animated effect in the video and illustrated in the poster gives a sight of how Matisse’s  paintings of his colourfulness was used than the reality that was behind it.
